I feel compelled to write a thank you for the wonderful experience I have had at Cherbon Waters Equestrian Centre (CWEC).
As I have always been a “horse crazy person”, I decided to commence formal riding lessons, in order to achieve my life-long dream of learning to ride properly. I wanted to achieve a level of skill so that I could one day compete in dressage and show-jumping competitions. My first experience was at another school, and unfortunately this experience was very disappointing. It left my confidence totally shattered!
As my desire to ride and to be around horses remained unfulfilled, I set about finding a new riding school. I contacted CBWEC and asked whether I could visit the premises. I was impressed by the extensive knowledge and approachable nature of the instructors; the neatly maintained gardens, clean paddocks, good horses and the wonderful indoor arena with lights – I signed up straight away!
I have never looked back! Over the last couple of years, my instructor Marilyn, has taken me from a nervous beginner, (who was too scared to canter), into a more confident rider, who is now learning lateral dressage movements and jumping. I truly appreciate Marilyn’s efforts over the last couple of years to fix both my riding skills and also my mind which was holding me back from achieving my goal. I have complete trust and faith in Marilyn. She is a fabulous instructor, who has an in-depth knowledge of horses and all disciplines of riding. Her love and passion for horses in general, is infectious!
Credit is also given to the horses, in particular Lady and Gus. Lady’s lovely nature gave me the confidence to learn, and Gus – being a highly trained horse, tested and improved my skills.
The facilities at CWEC are “top class”. The indoor arena is fantastic - I think this indoor controlled environment, promotes safety. It also allows lessons to be conducted in all weather conditions and at all times of the day, which I find convenient due to work commitments. The cross country course is fun with a variety of jumps for all levels of riders. The tack is also well maintained.
As a mature age rider, I was looking for a school, where I didn’t feel embarrassed or uncomfortable – CWEC provided this environment. CWEC has also allowed me to achieve my goal of competing. As I do not have my own horse, this was not something I envisaged I would be able to do for a while, but the centre offers a variety of competitions and classes. To date, I have entered show-jumping and dressage competitions – and even taken home ribbons!
As a regular at the school, I have been able to be around horses, and have gained much valuable knowledge about riding and horse care. I have volunteered with the school holiday camps, which are fantastic fun - I enjoyed them as much as the kids!
Finally, I want to say that to see so many fit, sound, well mannered horses is refreshing, and you must take credit for presenting your customers with horses and facilities of such a high calibre. It is a privilege to ride such happy, contented and responsive horses. Thank you.

My girls and I are truly enjoying the Cherbon Waters experience. We simply LOVE Marilyn and how she adapts our needs within our weekly lesson. It was by pure chance that we came to your establishment (a friend of ours daughter has been riding at Heritage and I got the name mixed up - and THANKFULLY I did, as to let you know, her daughter after MANY riding lessons is still just going around in circles and not learning anything - I told her what we have been doing, so hopefully one day she will make the change to Cherbon Waters.)
We also love the horses that have been chosen for us and truly appreciate our rides on Sunday afternoon with an occasional group ride.

I would like to thank you both and your staff for your acceptance of Emily whilst we were riding with you at Cherbon Waters. It was lovely to see Emily's enjoyment of horses grow thru your patience and understanding and obviously with gratitude also going to Pablo. There are not a lot of opportunities for our special kids to get involved in the main stream world and enjoy their true passion, but I believe we have found Emily's and I will certainly endeavour to pursue her passion with her.
Who knows what may lie ahead and we may certainly see you back at Cherbon Waters however we will certainly continue to spread the good word of your work!!

My son Cody and all his friends had a great time and could not stop talking about the party! Thank you so much for the great children’s party we had at the Equestrian Centre for my son’s 5th birthday. All your staff were so friendly and helpful and we all had a wonderful time. We would definitely recommend the Equestrian Centre for a great experience for any children’s party.
